An exciting program has been planned by the Congress Organising Committee which will bring together leading authorities from across the globe. Specific focus will be on advancing the field of chronic disease healthcare with the ultimate aim of optimising care for all.
Half Day Workshops - Wednesday 26 November
Ten outstanding half day workshops will be presented by national and international leaders in chronic disease education, self-management and workplace health education. Morning workshops will address CDSM innovations, workplace practices, services and systems, and afternoon workshops will explore CDSM for young people, indigenous and CALD health issues and work health. 
Congress Official Opening – Wednesday 26 November
The Congress will be officially opened by the Victorian Minister for Health, the Hon Daniel Andrews MP, and Prof Glyn Davis, Vice-Chancellor, The University of Melbourne. The launch will also feature a keynote address by well-known international expert Professor Bob Lewin from the University of York, UK, who will pose the question What is important when helping people become more effective self-managers of their health? The address will be followed by an expert panel discussion on the topic.
